Psychotherapist, counsellor, sexologist — and writer.

I’m a qualified psychotherapist, counsellor, and sexologist, writing about life’s most complex and tender experiences — from grief and relationship struggles to identity shifts, trauma recovery, and sexual wellbeing.

My work is grounded in evidence-based therapy, shaped by lived experience, and guided by deep compassion. This site is where I think out loud about the things that work touches — emotional overwhelm, disconnection, intimacy, and the long project of understanding ourselves.

My Approach

I work from a person-centred, emotion-focused, and trauma-informed perspective. These are the themes I work with and write about:

  • Grief, loss, and life transitions
  • Anxiety, burnout, and emotional regulation
  • Identity, self-worth, and belonging
  • Relationship challenges and communication
  • Sexual wellbeing, low desire, and intimacy blocks
  • Navigating non-traditional relationships or dynamics

At the heart of my work is a belief that healing happens when we feel safe, seen, and supported.

What you pay attention to, grows. Liberate yourself.

My Foundations

My practice is enriched by a broad and unique foundation. I hold:

  • A Master’s in Psychotherapy
  • A Master’s in Sexology
  • A Master’s in Education
  • A BA in Communication Studies
  • A Graduate Certificate in Marketing

Before becoming a therapist, I spent years working in the arts and embodiment, exploring themes of sensuality, expression, and relational power. This creative background now informs the way I work and write: grounded, attuned, and often imaginative.

Who I Am

As a Queer-identified, white-skinned Aboriginal woman and a lifelong learner, I bring both professional expertise and personal lived experience to my work. I’ve lived through infertility, surrogacy, non-traditional relationships, identity transformation, and the deep personal reckonings that life sometimes asks of us.

That blend of the professional and the personal runs through everything I write here.

Special Interest: Infertility, Egg Donation & Surrogacy

After a decade-long journey with infertility and the birth of my child through surrogacy, I became a strong advocate in this space — moderating for Egg Donation Australia and contributing to national inquiries into reproductive care and rights.

I write and advocate across:

  • Infertility and reproductive grief
  • Egg and sperm donation
  • Donor conception
  • Surrogacy and parenting after ART
  • Complex emotions around identity, loss, and belonging

This work is close to my heart and rooted in both lived insight and clinical training.

My Core Values

Equity & Inclusion – I honour and uplift diverse identities, orientations, relationship structures, and all experiences of life, ensuring they are validated, respected, and supported.

Science & Wisdom – I integrate evidence-based psychology, sexology, and therapeutic approaches with the deep, human wisdom of lived experience, creating holistic support for intimacy, healing, and transformation.

Safety & Compassion – True intimacy, desire, and healing flourish when we feel safe, seen, and respected, allowing us to connect deeply with ourselves and others.

Play & Curiosity – Life, intimacy, and healing are lifelong explorations. Whether reclaiming pleasure, navigating change, or redefining connection, I encourage curiosity, creativity, and self-discovery in every journey.
